Plan D is an experiment from EYEPOP-3D in taking an alternative approach to 2D to 3D conversion, still using state-of-the-art conversion technology and tried and tested processes but with reduced manual input for a more wallet friendly product.

PLAN-D from EYEPOP

EYEPOP's new budget label "Plan-D" features a new range of budget friendly 3D blu-rays.

How are they different from EYEPOP-3D I hear you ask? 

1. Plan-D conversions use the same basic conversion technology, working predominantly shot by shot, but aims to cut down on some of the more time consuming rotoscope and manual work by using alternative approaches to minimise visual artefacts. This means we can work faster and still deliver good quality 3D conversions.
2. Plan-D chooses content that for any number of reasons may be more niche, so might be of interest to an even more specialist audience than the (generally) bigger films that EYEPOP would focus on.
3. Where we cannot get good Full HD quality source material we feel it would be more appropriate to release these discs on the more budget friendly label, so that's what we're doing.

These discs will be produced and shipped on demand solely in the US so there will be no special editions or options like slipcovers, etc.

HOW CAN I WATCH THIS 3D FILM AT HOME?

PROJECTOR

Most modern projectors still support 3D with either RF or DLP-Link battery powered glasses. Using a projector you get a near cinema experience with a huge picture and great 3D.

VR HEADSET

Projection 3D isn't the only game in town - VR Headsets, ideally the best spec and highest resolution you can afford can do a great job at presenting 3D - grab the side-by-side 3D format film, pop it on the headset and your VR Media Player should be able to do the rest with ease. The effect, when done right is akin to sitting in a cinema watching a 3D film on the huge screen.

You can virtually smell the popcorn!

CLASSIC STYLE RED BLUE ANAGLYPH 3D

If all else fails and you are desperate for a 3D fix, the old school red-blue anaglyph glasses are always an option. Grab yourself some Red Blue Glasses from Amazon and you'll be ready to jump into the next dimension of terror!

For the Anaglyph version this is simply ready to play as long as you have your red blue glasses ready, for the Side-by-Side version you can use the free video player app: PotPlayer. With PotPlayer you can watch this 3D classic right on you laptop or desktop computer!
